Acceptance of Terms

By using Lyric Show Live, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

Lyric Show Live provides live speech-to-text captioning, real-time translation, animated caption displays, and a broadcast overlay for streaming and video calls, on iOS, Android, and the web. The Enterprise plan also includes the Lyric Show Live Discord bot, which captions a Discord voice channel live (see Discord Live Captions).

Subscriptions and Purchases

• Subscriptions and add-ons are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. The Enterprise plan is billed monthly or yearly.
• Purchases in the iOS and Android apps are made through the Apple App Store (iOS / Mac), Google Play (Android), or the Amazon Appstore (Fire tablets). Purchases on lyricshow.live — including the Enterprise plan, monthly or yearly — are processed by Stripe. However you buy, the subscription is attached to your signed-in account.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel an App Store, Google Play or Amazon Appstore subscription at any time from your App Store, Google Play or Amazon account; access continues until the end of the paid billing period. To cancel or change a subscription bought on lyricshow.live, sign in, open your account page, and choose “Manage your subscription”, which opens Stripe’s billing portal.
• Refunds for App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore purchases are handled by Apple, Google or Amazon under their store policies — request them through the store you purchased from. For a refund on a purchase made on lyricshow.live, email support@lyricshow.live.

Accounts

• Sign-in uses your Apple ID or Google account via Firebase Authentication.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account), or request deletion from the Account & Data Deletion page.
• Deleting your account immediately cancels any subscription bought on lyricshow.live, and access ends with the account. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel that in the store first, or you will keep being billed.

Your Content

“Your Content” means anything you bring into Lyric Show Live: lyric sheets and other documents you import, the speech you capture with the microphone, and the captions and translations produced from it.

• You keep ownership. We claim no ownership of Your Content. You grant us only the limited, non-exclusive licence needed to operate the app for you — to extract text from a file you upload, transcribe and translate speech, display captions, and relay caption text to your own broadcast overlay. That licence lasts only as long as we need it to perform those operations and ends when you stop using the service.
• We do not publish it. Imported lyrics stay in your device’s song library, not in a shared or public library. Overlay caption text is transient and goes only to the overlay URL you control. We do not use Your Content to train models or for advertising.
• You are responsible for the rights. You represent that you own Your Content or otherwise have the rights to use it, and that using it with Lyric Show Live does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.

Copyright and Third-Party Lyrics

Song lyrics are usually protected by copyright. Importing lyrics for your own use, or displaying them in a stream, broadcast, performance, or other public setting, may require permission or a licence from the copyright owner or their publisher. Obtaining any such permission is your responsibility, not ours — Lyric Show Live is a display and captioning tool and provides no rights in any song, lyric, or other third-party work.

You also agree not to use Lyric Show Live to import, display, or broadcast content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content displayed or transmitted through Lyric Show Live infringes your copyright, email support@lyricshow.live with: your contact details; identification of the work you say is infringed; a description of where the infringing use appears (for example the broadcast, channel, or overlay URL); a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights owner or the law; a statement that the information in your notice is accurate; and your signature, electronic or physical. We investigate every complete notice, remove or disable access to material we control where a claim is substantiated, and suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the service
• Share your broadcast overlay URL or token with unauthorized users
• Use the broadcast overlay from more than 3 unique IP addresses in a 24-hour period
• Attempt to circumvent token rotation, session locking, or watermarking systems
• Use automated tools to abuse the speech recognition or translation APIs

Discord Live Captions

The Enterprise plan includes the Lyric Show Live Discord bot, which captions a Discord voice channel live on the linked account’s Lyric Show Live displays and overlay. How it handles voice audio is described in the Privacy Policy. If you use it:

• Tell people first. The account holder and the server’s admins are responsible for telling people in the voice channel that captions are running, and for obtaining any consent the law requires where they are, before starting captions. The bot’s notice and 🔴 nickname help, but they do not replace that responsibility.
• No captioning without people’s knowledge. Do not use the bot to caption people without their knowledge, or in any way that breaches Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Participants can opt out. Anyone can run /lyricshow opt-out at any time, and the bot will never caption their voice again, in any server.
• Monthly allowance. Enterprise includes up to 100 hours of Discord captions per account per calendar month (UTC), counted while people are talking. When they are used up, captions pause until the 1st. Captions may also be temporarily unavailable when the service is at capacity.
• We may step in. We may stop caption sessions, or unlink servers, that misuse the feature.
• Discord’s terms apply too. Your use of Discord is also governed by Discord’s own terms and policies.

Accuracy Disclaimer

Speech recognition and machine translation are imperfect. Captions and translations may contain errors, and you should not rely on them where accuracy is critical (for example, legal, medical, or emergency communication).

Limitation of Liability

Lyric Show Live is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to inaccurate transcriptions or translations.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
